2. Patrons could access their same account information from one year to the next.

   The software allows you to roll donors and patrons forward from the prior year, but if you do that, the patrons are not able to access those accounts that have been rolled over. They still have to re-enter all of their information at each event. Making matters worse, they cant set up a new account if the email they want to use is already in the system, so they have to have a second email to register to buy a ticket or bid. Most of our patrons dont have two email addresses, and even if they did, then there are duplicate accounts set up in RSA. This is very confusing for our patrons. If we don't roll the patrons forward, then we cant use the donor communication features to invite them to bid or even attend the event, so why even have those features?

6. Improved Point of Sale compatable with modern payment solutions

   Please make point of sale compatible with payment terminals (PayPal or Stripe Devices) that allow you to have more streamlined in person checkouts. The current process only allows for card swipers, but we want to be able to offer PayPal/Venmo payment options in person at the event during checkout. The fully digital experience is not compatable with our event and how its structured so we need to be able to run a point of sale at checkout and accept modern payment solutions.

   We need a report that shows total amount our attendees added to their credit card transactions to cover the fees. It should show all transactions of this type as well as the total. 10. Check In/Attendee Reporting

    I would like to have access to a report to pull the number of people who checked into the event. It could be their first/last name, table assignment, party, and possibly any associated contact information. Right now, I can pull a list of who checked in by going to Reports>Activity Reports>Seating & Meals Report, but then I have to manually count all of them which makes reporting cumbersome.

12. Preview CSV before importing auction items

    When importing a large number of auction items, it's easy to miss formatting issues or map the wrong columns.

    A preview step before the actual import would make it much easier to catch mistakes and avoid re-importing everything.

    I usually double-check my CSV files in CSV Viewer before importing, but having a built-in preview would make the workflow much smoother.

13. Suggestions to Improve Usability and Flexibility

    I’ve been using ReadySetAuction for a while and overall it’s a very helpful platform for managing events and auctions, especially when it comes to organizing items and tracking bidders. That said, I think there’s still room for improvement in terms of usability and flexibility. It would be great to have more customizable reports and filtering options to quickly access important data during busy events.

    Additionally, improvements in navigation and a more intuitive interface would make the experience smoother, especially for new users. More control over registration forms or required fields would also be very useful for different event needs. Overall, the platform works well, but a few enhancements like these could make it even more efficient and user-friendly.

14. Allow split payments at checkout. Check + credit card. Now you have to cancel one of the sales, check out, then re-enter a sale and check

15. Donation, Package need to be the same length of characters.

    To easily convert a donation to a package, the donation description needs to be the same length as the package description. That way, if you have all the information when receiving a donation, you can enter it and then package it easily.

16. Staff could have real time notifications of ticket or sponsorship purchases

    This is my first time with RSA and I assumed there would be some notification when a donor purchases tickets etc to our event. Surprised there's not, and a little frustrated I have to keep checking in Reports.

17. Set a separate tab to "Buy a Table"

    Our guests are used to being able to easily buy a table. Some families want to buy a table for their group. Some businesses want to do this for their clients and get the advertising write off. It is not user friendly to have to purchase a table under a "sponsorship" tab. I had someone email me about where to go to buy a table. They had no idea to look under sponsorships. I had to add a special note at the top of the website to direct guests to the sponsorship area to buy a table.

Many are hesitant to create accounts or store credit card information in another platform, especially for a one-time annual event transaction. A streamlined guest checkout option would significantly improve the user experience and reduce drop-off.
    We were very close to selecting RSA for our annual gala this year, but ultimately decided against moving forward because of the mandatory account creation functionality.
    Additionally, RSA’s compatibility with DonorPerfect was one of the primary reasons we initially considered the platform, so we were disappointed that this particular user experience issue became a deciding factor for us.

20. Report Suggestion

    I just spoke with support and they said the report I need doesn't exist. I need an excel report that shows the items won, bidder info, and the date of payment. There are two reports that have this info (Data Exchange Report & Payments Received), but it would be helpful if this was in one report. As it stands, I have to use both reports and combine them. This is a very manual process that is time consuming. If this all existed as one report, it would help a lot. It seems like an easy way to fix this would just to add a column to the Payments Received report what was actually paid for.
