Improve viewing items during live auction
When browsing items in the auction, we had over 15 pages of items, with multiple pages within each category. A frustrating issue occurred when clicking on an item and then using the back button—it would take you back to page 1 instead of the page you were previously on.
This was particularly challenging while setting up the auction. If I was working on an item several pages in, I had to constantly click through multiple pages to return to the item I was working on after hitting the back button.
For example, if you're viewing an item on page 8…

Personalized display names
Our bidders loved bidding with personalized, creative bidder display names. This created more bidding wars than the simple anonymous112, anonymous 124, etc. Most people did not want their actual names shown online.

Not every event has eBidding
I'm using RSA to sell advanced tickets and capture credit cards for traditional bidding. No eBidding / No Catalog. Unfortunately, the account creation email for ticket purchasing requests eBidding instructions (i.e., Remain anonymous, inform if overbid). THIS IS VERY CONFUSING SINCE WE HAVE NO EBIDDING. CAN THIS BE REMOVED?

eBidding Instructions for Bidders
It would be great to have specific eBidding instructions for bidders on how to register their account and the steps involved in the eBidding process that organizations can include on the Website and/or in the Invitations

Move to App Based Mobile Bidding
Process to set up an account is way too click heavy. Please move to an App - based model where folks can download app, enter mobile number and be authenticated this way and store credit card in App. THIS IS MUCH EASIER AND SMOOTHER.
We may have to switch away from RSA if we can't have you build an App architecture.

Bidder Numbers
It would be nice if there was an option to allow RSA to automatically assign bidder numbers OR allow the nonprofit to assign bidder numbers. We use numbered paddles at our event and we would like to be able to easily assign those numbers ourselves. Last year this required calling RSA so they could switch something on their end so we could add in the paddles numbers as guests checked in. This year we forgot that minor detail and we discovered that last year's bidder numbers were still in use and we could not manually change or enter the paddle…

Allow proxy bidding for unregistered bidders
The purpose of proxy bidding is to accommodate guests who do not want to deal with the eBidding technology. We feel the fact that the guest must register for an account and verify it through email to proxy bid undermines its purpose. We would like to allow guests to bid by proxy regardless of whether they are registered for an account or not.

It would notify bidders either they won
One of the things I noted was that Ready Set Auction does not notify bidders that they won the bid. The bidder has to sign on to see that they owe something. When the event is strictly an online event, it is important the bidders are notified. Otherwise the volunteers have to call everyone to let them know.

I would like to have an additional category in our catalog for items that have not been bid on.
I would like to have an additional category in our catalog for items that have not been bid on. I find that people will go straight to that section to see how they can help. In addition, it will ensure that we don't have to have a lot of items left over that we have to store for next year or return to our donors. We want them to feel like they are making a difference.

Online Bidding - See "all" bidders
It would be nice to be able to see "all" the bidders on an item so you can know who you are bidding against...it makes it more competitive...similar to "working" the room in a live event.

Allow us to change the end time for bidding on all items as one edit
When we researched how to change the closing time for all the auction items at once, it appeared to be an easy thing to do: find all the items, click on them, change close time. Sounds great. But once things were bid on, you couldn't select all and I was eternally grateful to have a volunteer that changed the closing time on every single item. With an event like this, you need to be able to quickly adjust the closing time for the auction

When bidding, I would like to see the amount of the bid raise amount in the item information. It would help when using Otto to know what would be an appropriate additional amount to put on bids. I have frequently not put enough on my bid, except for the initial bid.

Show Live Bids
There should be a place to see Live bids as they happen. A simple graph or report on the program that will show who's the current bidder, their bid and for what.

Allow mobile bidding to update all bidders with a change in the end-time for bidding
Mid event, we needed to make a change to the time that mobile bidding was finishing, and the system only allowed us to make that change one bidder at a time. A function allowing us to make that change for all 200 bidders with one click would have saved us a lot of time on the night.

Ranging Price Packages are confusing to some bidders
I received feedback from several bidders throughout the week that there is something confusing abut the way you purchase a ranging-price package. We used these packages as a "virtual raise the paddle" and created the ranging prices to match up with the tiers in our donor recognition lists. Some people accidentally entered more than one purchase when they were trying to adjust the price of their gift. It would be helpful if these packages were purchased with a simple "enter your amount" and without any price informtion automatically filled in for the bidder.

Have the ability to override closed auction items.
Once the online auction has closed. Sometimes additional bidders will step forward, or they missed the bidding timeline. It would be beneficial to be able to override a current bid and outbid the previous winner.

Sharing Bidder Numbers
Would be great if the bidder number of the primary bidder ("Party of ...") were visible when you're wedding bidder numbers, so you could just enter the number rather than search for it by primary's name.

Bidding notifications should be opt-out not opt-in
Uncouple "Enable outbid notifications via text message" from "Enable ebidding". If you'd like to have bidders set-up accounts before you enable the bidding via the "Enable ebidding" checkbox, then you cannot have an already checked box under Bidding Notifications for them to receive text messages. BETTER YET - make both Bidding Notifications by email and text opt-opt only.
