Need to Allow the Same Phone Number & Email on Multiple Records / Accounts

I’m running into a limitation and I’m hoping someone here has a workaround or knows whether this can be configured.
In our system, we really need the ability to use the same email address and phone number on more than one record. Right now, the platform treats these fields as unique identifiers, which means an email or phone number can only be linked to a single account. This is causing a lot of issues for our workflow.
Here’s the situation:
We have people who need to be registered both as individuals and under their business or organization. In many cases, they use the exact same email address and phone number for both profiles—especially small businesses, freelancers, or owners using their personal contact information for everything.
At the moment, the system won’t let us create the second record if the contact info already exists elsewhere. That means:
We can’t properly link a person to multiple memberships or roles
We have to create fake phone numbers or extra emails just to bypass the restriction
Communication ends up going to the wrong place or not at all
Our data becomes messy and inconsistent
What we really need is the option to associate the same email/phone with multiple accounts—or at least disable the uniqueness requirement for those fields.
Has anyone found a setting, customization, or workaround that lets you reuse contact info across multiple records? Or is this simply a hard system limitation?
