  1. It would be great if Catalog numbers could be Alphanumeric

    It would be advantageous for Catalog numbers to have alphanumerics to help guide the bidders in a series of related packages as well as Auction organizers to more logically track them, separate from the Inventory numbers, of course.

    Some organizations have non-numeric coding schemes which greatly increase their efficiency, both behind the scenes and Auction facing.

    For example, A Catalog number starting with "R" would be for the Red table, helpful for everyone; more simple, in fact, than a number in the 9000 series that represents the Red table.

  2. The DonorPerfect Data Transfer Preview Report included Donor IDs!

    For many reasons we did not wish to use the automatic data transfer between RSA and DP and therefore had to download reports and manually upload them to DP. If this data transfer preview report had included a donor ID field, this would've made the data transfer SO much faster.

  3. Allow the bidder database to be edited within RSA, prior to sending out any emails

    We created a list of bidders from the prior event to facilitate set up for this year's event. Obviously not all bidders from 2019 were in attendance in 2020. So when it came time to communicate with only those attending (or, indeed, any subset of the database we wanted to contact), we were not able to do this within RSA, but had to download the data-set, edit in Excel, and then use our regular ConstantContact mail capabilities. Being able to do this within RSA would have been significantly easier.

  4. Allowing table purchasers to be entered the same way as individual seat purchaser

    Anybody wanting to buy a table had to enter this as a sponsor, which had two adverse consequences: a) it was hard for attendees buying tables to find how to do so on the site (we had to speak with a lot of folks to advise them how to do this); and b) generating reports of attendees was difficult from an administrative perspective, because accessing information about individuals and sponsors have to be done in two different ways. We view individual purchasers and table purchases (other than a true sponsor, such as a corporation) as the same thing.

  5. Allow mobile bidding to update all bidders with a change in the end-time for bidding

    Mid event, we needed to make a change to the time that mobile bidding was finishing, and the system only allowed us to make that change one bidder at a time. A function allowing us to make that change for all 200 bidders with one click would have saved us a lot of time on the night.

  6. Jump To This Field Message

    Instead of saying "jump to this field", and not taking the client anywhere, the message should instead list what the client has to do in order to take action that they are trying to accomplish.

  7. Preview packages as you add them

    It would be great if under Items > Packages, when you create a new package, you could preview what it will look like in the eCatalog right from that screen without needing to actually go into the eCatalog (similar to the Setup > Event Website preview).

  10. Choose different From addresses within the Donor thanks email and the bidder thanks email

    In communications, you can choose differentiating From addresses in all tab except the Donor thanks tab and the bidder tab. If you update the from address in the donor thanks, it update the from address in the bidder thanks. It would be beneficial to allow the users to choose different from addresses in those tabs as you can with the other.

  11. Allow Admin users to setup/start New Events

    Allow admin account users to close out old events and start new events without contacting RSA is they paid for the service already.

  12. Winners of items should get a text to let them know that they won an item. Their credit card should be automatically charged.

    We used to use QTego and I loved their system. Winners of items were AUTOMATICALLY checked out and sent a receipt. This stops them from having to "check themselves out" on their phones and makes the entire system a lot easier/more fluid.

  16. When somebody wins an auction item, if there was a way to put a button on that page that allows them to "pay now"

    When somebody wins an auction item, there should be a way to put a button on that page that allows them to "pay now". Right now once an item was won, you have to hit "home," then on the right-hand side, hit "check out." This should be more simple.

  17. Credit card zip code error messages were more informative

    Under @Event > Check Out Guest (also @Event > Check In Guest) you can add a credit card for a bidder.

    If that bidder has a Canadian zip code, you must enter it with a space, for example, K0H 9Z0 in order for RSA to accept it.
    If a US client happens to have a one-off Canadian bidder, and they are unfamiliar with the format of Canadian zip codes, they may try to enter this as K0H9Z0. This format is not accepted, and you are not able to add the card if you don't know that you need the space.

    When someone just gives cash as a donation on the website you shouldn't be required to register.

  19. Sharing Bidder Numbers

    Would be great if the bidder number of the primary bidder ("Party of ...") were visible when you're wedding bidder numbers, so you could just enter the number rather than search for it by primary's name.

  20. Allow manual text messages to be sent out. This way we can communicate more than just auction notifications

    We have used other platforms that allow text messages as well as email communications to be sent from the platform. We can set up manual communication texts (Don't miss out, invites, and other communications) as well as automatic (outbid, bidding closed, etc).
