Require Credit Card to Bid
Currently, a credit card is not required to bid. Some organizations would like to require that a bidder have a credit card on file before being allowed to place bids.
Great News, you now have the option to require a bidder to enter a credit card when placing a bid on an item. The event administrator can enable this new option going to: Admin > Event Settings > Event Website > to “Require a stored credit card for eBidding”

Be careful not to impair bidders who will pay for their purchases through check, donor advised fund, or family foundation.

If you want to promote your auction beyond the people attending the specific event, it must be mandatory to capture the credit card information before they are the successful bidder, otherwise, people can outbid others and never pay.
We won't use this software if we can't figure this out.

Why is this not implemented yet? We might have to switch next year to software that takes credit cards first and automatically bills them.

Allow guests to place a credit card on file after registration but prior to the event. We sent emails to our registered guests reminding them to place a credit card on file before showing up. That then caused guests to set up new guest ID's because they could not access that field in their current profile. Only a staff member can add it via "check in" once they have moved passed the purchase tickets stage.

Allow bidders to input their own credit card info upon registration.

It's essential to our PTO that we have the security of knowing that those bidding have already entered their payment details.

No votes left for me either but I totally agree! We will lose access to make changes in RSA before all the invoices are paid.

I'm out of votes for now, but I agree with this. I'm chasing down people who "won" things but haven't paid for them, and it's literally the LAST thing I want to be doing right now. I want to be done, I'm tired! If they had to enter a credit card to bid, I could at least check them out myself, even if they can't figure it out.

I don't have any votes left, but I would add 3 votes to this if I did. It is a hassle and waste of time to chase after people for payments.
