Make Contact's Email Address Optional
Currently, every contact in the system is required to have a unique email address. The email address is used to uniquely identify every individual contact record, and prevent duplicate contacts from being entered into the system. However, in many cases the organization does not know the email address of a contact that they wish to enter or import. This leads to messy work-arounds, such as creating fake email addresses for contacts. This feature would make the email address field optional for all patrons. In this case, the system would be unable to send email to any patron lacking an email…

More Customizable Event Website
I understand that having limited options for web design might seem ideal to people that don't really care. However, to send donors to a site that looks primitive and not in-line with our organizations design standards is not ideal. There are so many ways to build modules or widgets that people could utilize and customize if they have the desire or ability within their org. For those that don't, then they could continue to use the basic layout.
76 votesThank you for this great idea! In a recent ReadySetAuction release a new and improved editor was added to make it easier to customize your event website. This new editor will make it easy for you to add and resize pictures and gifs or embed a video on your event website. Consolidate Donors and Bidders
Donors and Bidders currently reside on separate lists. Although this facilitates working with data specific to the patron's role, it also requires additional data entry work to make a contact both a donor and a bidder, and it requires the user to be careful to enter the same name and email address to prevent duplicate records. It would be nice to change this to a single list of patrons, with optional donor and bidder roles, that could be enabled per patron.

Allow eCatalog view-only mode outside of bidding period
Currently the eCatalog is only active to my guests a week before the event. This is fine for bidding purposes, but what about publicity?
Why can't my guest view the eCatalog (without bidding) any time before the event? Seeing the eCatalog grow will:
- Generate buzz.
- Prevent my group from soliciting businesses who have already given.
- Encourage businesses to donate early (peer pressure).
The website and the information is already there. Why would it cost more just to display it the public (without having the bidding option)?
61 votesThank you for your feedback! We have expanded the duration of the eCatalog Access Period to 45 days before through 45 days after your event date. For Select plan users, this expands the amount of time during which visitors to your event website can view the eCatalog. For Complete plan users, this expands the amount of time during which visitors to your event website can view the eCatalog, place bids on packages that are open for bidding, and/or purchase fixed-price packages that are open for purchase.

Thank you for this great idea! You now have the ability to assign more than one staff member administrative permissions!

Require Credit Card to Bid
Currently, a credit card is not required to bid. Some organizations would like to require that a bidder have a credit card on file before being allowed to place bids.
40 votesGreat News, you now have the option to require a bidder to enter a credit card when placing a bid on an item. The event administrator can enable this new option going to: Admin > Event Settings > Event Website > to “Require a stored credit card for eBidding”

Show "Who has purchased" List for Fixed-Price Packages
For certain types of fixed-price packages, such as sign-up parties, bidders would like to see who else has purchased the package before committing themselves to purchasing. This feature would display a list of bidders who have purchased the package so far.

Allow credit card payments to be deleted from invoices within the database
Currently, if a patron purchases a ticket to the event via credit card, and then in turn is unable to make it, there is no way to delete the invoice/payment in RSA. The patron can be refunded in the gateway and their RSVP changed to "Not Attending", but this still affects the reporting of the event in RSA.
37 votesYou asked and we listened! Event staff administrators (and event staff members with the authorization code) can now delete credit card payments from invoices in ReadySetAuction.

Delete Purchase Even if Payment Recorded
I inadvertently recorded one of our patrons as having paid for their tickets twice. In doing so, they appear to have purchased four tickets, only two of which have RSVP'd. There is no way to delete/correct this issue. I will have to hand-correct their invoice on the night of the auction, and my seat-count/ticket purchases will be inaccurate.

Allow Couple to Check in Together
Allow a couple to check in together, rather than requiring each to go through the check-in process separately. This will speed up the check-in process and provide a better guest experience.

Allow users to set General Ledger and Solicitation codes
This would make the DonorPerfect reports export with the proper codes so that less clean up would be needed for import into DonorPerfect.
31 votesThank you for this great idea! With the most recent ReadySetAuction release you now have the ability to set a general ledger code, solicitation code, sub-solicitation code and/or a thank you letter code prior to transferring your data into DonorPerfect. Check out this KB article to help you prepare your data!

Business Names Only When Adding Donors
When adding patrons, it would be great if first and last names were not required for businesses. It should be optional, as I do not always have a personal contact at each business.

Better Feedback After Failed Import
When an import fails (donations, donors, packages, bidders), there is no indication of why the failure occurred (other than duplicates). It would be very helpful to get feedback as to what caused records to fail to import.
21 votesYou can now download a file after your import which contains the records that failed to import, along with details as to why.

Direct Image Upload
Allow users to upload their package images directly to ReadySetAuction. This would be quicker and easier than requiring users to use a 3rd party image hosting site.
18 votesThank you for this great idea! We are excited to share that this was completed in our most recent release on June 26th, 2018.

Make Bidder # Optional / Share a Bidder #
Currently, every bidder must be assigned a bidder number because a bidder number is required in order to place a bid under certain circumstances (eg. at shared bidding stations). A popular guest scenario involves having a couple share a single bidder number so that they can bid together as a single unit. Although this is not possible for eBidding (every eBidder must use an individual eBidding account), for traditional paper auctions, it is reasonable to have couples bidding together as one.
The current solution is to have both members of a couple use one of their bidder numbers and simply…

Training Module to practice before an event without using real people or items!
It really isn't possible to practice check in/check out procedures without risking somebody's record or using real credit cards. A dummy module would allow for much more confidence on the night of the event!

Allow Winning Bid Less Than Minimum Bid at Checkout
We ran into problems at checkout if the Winning Bid amount was lower than the "starting bid" shown on the bid sheet. It would have been less complicated if we could have overwritten the amount to speed up the checkout process. We had to go into Packages and change the amount before we could check some one out. It only happened on 2 or 3 package items. Luckily those bidders were patient for us to work through the added steps.

Link bidders together to allow for one invoice
Currently, if you have two separate accounts, you will receive two separate invoices. If you allow people to buy tickets together and have one person listed as the primary account holder the other as their guest, they should be linked together so their credit card is already stored, their winnings are linked together and they share only one invoice. This would be the case 90% of the time because almost all the bidders are married couples.
12 votesBidders may be linked to a single account for all silent bidding via the sharing of bidder numbers,
