Allow ALL patrons to store credit card information without making a purchase
This was a previous idea marked "already exists" by RSA Support. It does and it does not (see RSA Support response below). EVERYONE who creates an account should have the option to store their credit card at sign up or any other point (e.g. through My Account>My Settings). Then we should have the ability to see who is attending who has not stored a cc, and send them a reminder to do so (including guests / guests of tables, not just those who purchased tickets directly). This would allow us to not have to gather cc info at check-in but for a few outliers hopefully - a HUGE pain point at check-in.
So that's three related ideas. Website: ability for patrons to add stored cc (even when not immediately purchasing anything) both at point of account set-up and later through Account Settings; Reporting: ability to see attendees who have/have not stored cc information and Communications: email them a reminder to do so.
RSA Support response to original poster:
Thank you for this idea. There are three different ways you can store a credit card within readysetauction. Two of them don’t require a patron to make a purchase.
As the Admin, you can require a credit card to bid by going to: Admin > Event Settings > Event Website > Check the box that says “Require a stored credit card for eBidding”
You can enter the credit card at check-in by going to: @Event > Check In Guest
Patron can make a purchase on the event website and choose to save their credit card information for future use.
