Permit all patrons to save credit card information without the necessity of making a purchase.
This idea was previously labeled as "already exists" by RSA Support. It both does and does not (refer to the RSA Support response below). All users who create an account should have the ability to save their credit card information during sign-up or at any other time (e.g., via My Account > My Settings). We should be able to identify attendees who have not stored a credit card and send them a reminder to do so, including guests and those at tables, not just those who purchased tickets directly. This would enable us to avoid collecting credit card information at check-in, except for a few exceptions, which is a significant hassle during the process.

Thus, there are three interconnected concepts. Website: option for patrons to add stored credit cards (even when not making an immediate purchase) both during account setup and later through Account Settings; Reporting: the capability to view attendees who have or have not saved credit card information, and Communications: sending them a reminder via email to complete this action.

Response from RSA Support to the original poster:
I appreciate this idea. There are three distinct methods for storing a credit card within readysetauction. Two of them can be purchased without the need for a patron.

To require a credit card for bidding, navigate to: Admin > Event Settings > Event Website > Select the option that states “Require a stored credit card for eBidding.”

To enter the credit card at check-in, please navigate to: @Event > Check In Guest

Patrons have the option to make a purchase on the event website and can choose to save their credit card information for future transactions.

We are going to use RSA to put up our third event. It has been quite frustrating to work on the platform because "Sponsorships" contain so few fields, many of which are optional, and none of them can be changed.

A foursome, for example, is a group of four persons who register for a golf tournament. The first person on the list is required to provide their phone number and email address; everyone else is not required to. We are unable to request a handicap or a shirt size.

A clay shoot competition is our upcoming event. We wanted to know other details like t-shirt size, ammunition size (of two options), and class (pro, men, ladies, juniors), however singles and foursomes are welcome to join up. None of this can be incorporated into RSA.

We had to make our own online registration form for our next event due to RSA's constraints, including the inability to update fields, and we will only be able to utilize RSA for the auction element. We know it's feasible because in 2019 and 2020 we used a different event/auction platform that DID permit changes to the sponsorship/registration form. Since we already utilize Donor Perfect, it seemed to make sense for us to choose RSA in 2022. In all honesty, though, the software is not as flexible or usable as we were led to assume, making it feel as though we were "sold an oceanfront parcel in Arizona."

How can we persuade your designers to improve the software? I'm aware that I'm not the only one experiencing these issues.
