hyperlinks
The button to create a hyperlink in the package details editor is not clear. Also, when the applied link is selected it will navigate you away from RSA and does not open in a new window.
7 votesThank you for this great idea! In our 2019.03 ReadySetAuction release we updated the WYSIWYG Editor. It is now easier to add hyperlinks to your packages. Check out our blog post about the new editor! https://www.readysetauction.com/rsablog/2019/07/02/easy-auction-event-website-editor/

Allow site to go directly to eCatalog
We want to eliminate barriers to bidding. If there was an option under Admin > Event Settings to have the event website link take bidders directly into the eCatalog instead of the menu on the landing page, this would help bidders access auction items more easily.
10 votesThank you for this idea! In our 2019.03 ReadySetAuction Release, we made several changes to our Event Website. Now when you go to the Event Website to view the ecatalog you can select to go directly to the ecatalog.

More Customizable Event Website
I understand that having limited options for web design might seem ideal to people that don't really care. However, to send donors to a site that looks primitive and not in-line with our organizations design standards is not ideal. There are so many ways to build modules or widgets that people could utilize and customize if they have the desire or ability within their org. For those that don't, then they could continue to use the basic layout.
76 votesThank you for this great idea! In a recent ReadySetAuction release a new and improved editor was added to make it easier to customize your event website. This new editor will make it easy for you to add and resize pictures and gifs or embed a video on your event website. Allow eCatalog view-only mode outside of bidding period
Currently the eCatalog is only active to my guests a week before the event. This is fine for bidding purposes, but what about publicity?
Why can't my guest view the eCatalog (without bidding) any time before the event? Seeing the eCatalog grow will:
- Generate buzz.
- Prevent my group from soliciting businesses who have already given.
- Encourage businesses to donate early (peer pressure).
The website and the information is already there. Why would it cost more just to display it the public (without having the bidding option)?
61 votesThank you for your feedback! We have expanded the duration of the eCatalog Access Period to 45 days before through 45 days after your event date. For Select plan users, this expands the amount of time during which visitors to your event website can view the eCatalog. For Complete plan users, this expands the amount of time during which visitors to your event website can view the eCatalog, place bids on packages that are open for bidding, and/or purchase fixed-price packages that are open for purchase.

Show "Who has purchased" List for Fixed-Price Packages
For certain types of fixed-price packages, such as sign-up parties, bidders would like to see who else has purchased the package before committing themselves to purchasing. This feature would display a list of bidders who have purchased the package so far.

Increase Character Limit for Event Site Welcome Message
Add more characters for the welcome message so that there isn't a limitation on how many linked sponsor images you can add.

Note Field for Ticket Purchasers
There needs to be a note field available to online ticket buyers so they can designate table placement or desire to be seated with specific individuals.

Require Credit Card to Bid
Currently, a credit card is not required to bid. Some organizations would like to require that a bidder have a credit card on file before being allowed to place bids.
40 votesGreat News, you now have the option to require a bidder to enter a credit card when placing a bid on an item. The event administrator can enable this new option going to: Admin > Event Settings > Event Website > to “Require a stored credit card for eBidding”

Hide Won Packages
As packages are won, removing them from the eCatalog would make it easier for bidders to focus their attention on the packages that are still available for bidding.
