How to Customize Showcase

With ReadySetAuction Showcase, you can display a slideshow of your items and sponsors on displays placed throughout your event venue. All you need is a device that can run a web browser. You can even project the showcase onto a large screen if you have the appropriate equipment. Showcase is available if your organization is using the ReadySetAuction Select or Complete plans.

Change Slideshow Appearance & Behavior

To change the look of slides, the animation used for slide-to-slide transitions, and the amount of time each slide shows, go to Setup > Event Showcase. You can use the video on this page – which will change based on your selections – to preview your changes before you save them.

Add and Remove Auction Packages to Showcase

  • To add an auction package to Showcase, check the “Show in Showcase” box in section 3 of the package's Add/Update Package page.
  • To remove a package from your Showcase, uncheck the box.

NOTE: The “Show in Showcase” box is checked by default for new packages.

You can also use the Showcase Image field in section 2 of the same form to enter the web address of a custom image that represents your package to those viewing the slideshow. The optimal dimensions for this image are around 800 x 800 pixels.

If you’re importing auction packages for your event, use the Showcase Image URL and Show in Showcase fields as described in the Package Import Guidelines.

Add and Remove Sponsors to Showcase

  • To acknowledge a business as a Sponsor in Showcase, go to Patrons > Donors -> click a business donor's name > in the donor's third tier Donor Info tab check the “This donor is a sponsor” box.
  • To include the sponsor's logo in Showcase, go to Patrons > Donors -> click a business donor's name > in the donor's third tier Patron Info tab, enter the web address of the logo into the Company Logo field. The optimal dimensions for this image are around 800 x 800 pixels.
  • To remove a donor from your Showcase, uncheck the “This donor is a sponsor” box in section 1 of the donor's third tier Donor Info tab.

*This likely goes without saying but, for trademark and personal privacy reasons, it’s a good idea to get permission before using either a donor’s photo or a donor company’s logo for public display with a tool like Showcase.
