How you disable the printing of headers and footers varies depending on which of our supported web browsers you’re using.

Browsers on Microsoft Windows

If you’re using Internet Explorer:

1. Press Alt+F on your keyboard to open the File menu.
2. From the File menu, choose Page setup…
3. In the “Headers and Footers” section of the Page Setup dialog box, choose “-Empty-” for all six drop-down menus.
4. Click the “OK” button to save your preferences. Now your print-outs will lack headers and footers.

If you’re using Firefox:

1. Press Alt+F on your keyboard to open the File menu.
2. From the File menu, choose Page Setup…
3. In the Page Setup dialog box, click the “Margins & Header/Footer” tab. In the “Headers & Footers” section of that tab, choose “--blank--” for all six drop-down menus.
4. Click the “OK” button to save your preferences. Now your print-outs will lack headers and footers.

If you’re using Safari, there is no way to disable printed headers and footers in the Windows version of this browser. Print your display sheets using a different browser instead.

Browsers on Mac OS

If you’re using Safari:

1. Press ⌘+P to open the Print dialog.
2. Click the disclosure button (small blue button with a down-pointing triangle) next to the “Printer” pop-up menu to reveal more printing options.
3. Near the bottom of the expanded Print dialog, find and uncheck the “Print headers and footers” checkbox.
4. Click the “Print” button to finish printing.

If you’re using Firefox:

1. Press ⌘+P to open the Print dialog.

1. Press Ctrl+P (Windows) or ⌘+P (Mac) to open the Print dialog.
2. In the left column of the Print dialog, find and uncheck the “Headers and footers” checkbox.
3. Click the “Print” button to finish printing.
