How to Sell Raffle Tickets

Since each state — and even some local governments — has its own rules, laws, and regulations around raffles and online gambling, ReadySetAuction does not facilitate raffle tickets sales online via your public, ReadySetAuction-hosted Event Website. Only via the ReadySetAuction Control Center can your auction committee record the sales of raffle tickets.

To set up raffle tickets and sell them prior to and during your event via the Control Center

  1. Go to Items > Packages > Add PackageFor Package Name, enter the name of the item you are raffling off. For Package Kind, choose “Raffle.” For Ticket Price, enter the cost of each ticket for that prize package.
  2. Go to @Event > Record Sales and sell a raffle ticket (or tickets) to the guest.
  3. Go to @Event > Check Out Bidders. Find/Select the guest. His invoice will include his raffle tickets.
  4. Complete check out.
  5. The system will automatically email a receipt to the guest.

To set up raffle tickets and sell them prior to your event at the time a guest also purchases admission tickets

  1. Go to Items > Packages > Add PackageFor Package Name, enter the name of the item you are raffling off. For Package Kind, choose “Raffle.” For Ticket Price, enter the cost of each ticket for that prize package.
  2. Set up your Admission Ticket types: Go to Setup > Admission Tickets and set up your Admission Ticket types. An example of an Admission Ticket is “General Admission” for $100. A raffle ticket is NOT an admission ticket.
  3. Record the RSVP for the guest who has purchased an admission ticket or tickets: Patrons > RSVPs > Sell Tickets and RSVP
  4. If the guest is also purchasing raffle tickets, then select “Skip Payment”
  5. Complete the RSVP
  6. After recording the RSVP for a guest, go to @Event > Record Sales and sell a raffle ticket (or tickets) to the guest.
  7. Go to @Event > Check Out Bidders. Find/Select the guest. His invoice will contain both his Admission ticket(s) and his raffle tickets.
  8. Complete check out.
  9. The system will automatically email a receipt to the guest.
