If you are running an option that encourages mobile bidding, setting up shared bidding stations is essential. Bidders at your event who do not have their own ReadySetAuction-compatible mobile device can place bids using shared bidding stations that you provide. A shared bidding station might be a desktop computer, a laptop, or even a tablet.

To set up a shared bidding station (admins only):

1. Navigate to Admin > Event Settings > Bidding Stations
2. Check off “Enable bidding stations”
   a. Choose if you want to allow patrons to create accounts at bidding stations
   b. Choose if you only want to allow checked in bidders to use bidding stations
   c. Click “Update Bidding Station Options”
   
3. On the device that you plan to use as a shared bidding station, launch the web browser.
   
4. Then copy the unique URL that is listed under: Admin- Event Settings- Bidding Stations- “To set up a shared bidding station”- your URL will be listed under Step 3. Paste this URL into your web browser on the device you plan on using for the bidding station
5. On the Setup page, enter your event’s Access Code, which is found in the Admin tab under Event Details.
6. Click the Enable This Bidding Station button.
   

Once the shared bidding station has been set up per the above instructions, that device will remain in shared bidding mode for 48 hours or until it is explicitly disabled — whichever comes first.

To disable shared bidding station mode on any individual device (admins only):

1. Ensure that the Enable bidding stations checkbox is checked on the in the Admin tab under Event settings. You cannot disable any shared bidding stations unless this option is enabled for your system.    
2. On the shared bidding station device, launch the web browser.
3. Navigate to your unique bidding station URL, which can be found under: Admin- Event Settings- Bidding Stations- “To set up a shared bidding station”- your URL will be listed under Step 3.
4. On the Setup page, enter your event’s Access Code, which is found in the Admin tab under Event Details.    
5. Click the Disable This Bidding Station button.

To disable shared bidding station mode on all devices and prevent it from being re-enabled, uncheck the Enable bidding stations checkbox in the Admin tab under Event Settings.
